LOJIC has worked in cooperation with several Federal agencies to create layers representing Federal data or has downloaded some Federal data and projected it to match LOJIC data. These datasets are available from the Online LOJIC Map Catalog for downloading from the LOJIC anonymous FTP site at no cost or can be ordered at a cost of $60.00. All datasets are compressed in the form of .zip files. Decompression software can be downloaded for no charge at the ALADDIN web site or the PKZIP web site.
List of Federal Datasets include:
Census 2000 - This dataset has been downloaded from the US Census Bureau and projected into Kentucky State Plane Coordinates to match the data in the LOJIC GIS. Detailed information about this dataset is available in the LOJIC DATA HELP. Even compressed, this is a very large dataset and may take a long time to download.
Soils - This data layer, available in ArcInfo .E00 format, was created in cooperation with the Jefferson County Natural Resources Conservation Service. Detailed information about this data layer is available in the LOJIC DATA HELP.
ZIP Codes - This data layer, available in ArcInfo .E00 format, was created in cooperation with the U.S. Postal Service. Detailed information about this data layer is available in the LOJIC DATA HELP.
