These maps have the following characteristics:

• The maps are in black and white or color.
• The areal extent is Jefferson County.
• The maps are available in any scale needed by the customer.
• The maps can be made with any combination of data layers needed by the customer.
• The maps must be less than 36" in one dimension to prevent the maps from being printed in strips or panels.
• The planimetric and topographic map data meets United States National Map Accuracy Standards.
• The maps are current as of the date printed on the map.
• The maps and data portrayed on the maps are copyrighted by MSD and the Louisville Water Company and cannot be reproduced, copied or distributed without permission.

Custom Map Cost Determination

Map estimates are provided at no charge to customers before a map is produced. As you will  notice below, the cost determination for a custom map can become complex fairly quickly.

Data Cost Recovery Fee charged in addition to staff and media costs:

Note: The Data Cost Recovery Fee is reduced by a "scale factor" to account for the usefulness of the level of detail being provided at different map scales.
 "Scale Factor" = Compilation Scale (1" = 100') / Map Scale desired.

Staff Costs charged on all custom maps:

GIS Technician = $42.00 per hour

Media Costs charged on all custom maps:

Paper = $0.65 per linear foot
Mylar = $2.50 per square foot

System Processing Costs charged on all custom maps:

System Resource Units (SRU) = $1.50
