Since 1986, LOJIC has been acquiring aerial photographs of Jefferson County. All the photographs were taken in the spring before the trees leafed out.

At the LOJIC Technical Office, 9 inch by 9 inch contact prints are available for viewing and paper copy reproduction. All contact prints are at a scale of 1 inch = 660 feet except for contact prints from 1998 which are at a scale of 1 inch = 800 feet. The most current photography is available for online viewing on one of LOJIC Interactive Maps.
To obtain high quality reproductions or enlargements from the photo negatives, the aerial photography vendors storing them on behalf of LOJIC will have to be contacted and these products are subject to vendor fees. Also, products purchased containing the most current year photos have an additional MSD usage fee charged to them.
1998 photo negatives are stored at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Phototechnic Lab, 703 State Office Building, Frankfort , KY 40622. Contact: Mark Hayden at (502) 564-4900.
Other negatives are stored at James W. Sewall Company (formerly Park Aerial Surveys) at 300 Envoy Circle, Suite 303, Louisville, KY 40299, (502) 491-4849.
