LOJIC Receives Awards at ESRI International Conference
During the week of August 4, LOJIC staffers Curt Bynum, Bruce Carroll, Jane Poole along with Tony Lindauer, Donna Hunt, Jay Mickle and Ben Hughes from PVA attended the ESRI International User Conference in San Diego. At this year’s conference, attended by more than 14,000 GIS pros from around the world, LOJIC received the Special Achievement in GIS Award. According to ESRI president, Jack Dangermond, “LOJIC has demonstrated vision and leadership in using GIS technology to better serve the world.”
In addition, the Fire Service Atlas produced by Middletown and Lyndon Fire Districts received top honors, a First Place Award for Best Cartographic Design for Map Atlas. The Fire Service Atlas book created by Middletown firefighter Andy Longstreet and Lyndon firefighter Angela Scott, both LOJIC users, serves as an in-the-field reference for locating addresses, hydrants, key boxes and other facilities of interest during fire response.
Congratulations to the entire LOJIC partnership for another international recognition of our community’s work with GIS technology.
